Prof Ken Myers has had a major interest in venous disease for more than 25 years. In the past, he has been Head of the Department of Vascular Surgery at Prince Henry’s Hospital and the Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne, former Chairman of the Division of Vascular Surgery of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is as past President of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Phlebology and has participated in or organised many international phlebology meetings. He has been at the forefront of developing new techniques such as echosclerotherapy and endovenous laser therapy.
