Prof Alun Davies is a Vascular Surgeon at Charing Cross Hospital, London. He is the chief Editor of the widely read Phlebology Journal. He is a Professor of Vascular Surgery of the academic department based at the Imperial College, London. He trained in Cambridge, Oxford, Plymouth, Boston (USA) and Bristol, prior to taking up a Consultant appointment at Charing Cross in 1994. He is the past -President of the European Venous Forum, and the current President of the UK Venous Forum. He is also a Hunterian Professor at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has written/edited/co-authored an impressive list of 25 books , 63 chapters and 231 peer reviewed publications.
