Passport and Visa Requirements If travelling from Australia and New Zealand No visa are required for stays of up to four months; a visitor permit can be obtained on arrival. For visa exempt countries (refer to list here).

Health Effective 14 February 2023, international travellers to Fiji will no longer be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and travel insurance.
This move comes following careful consideration of the global and national COVID-19 situation by the COVID-19 Risk Mitigation Taskforce (CRMT) and applies to both arrivals from air and sea.
Language English is the official language of Fiji, however indigenous Fijians also speak Fijian while Indo-Fijians speak Hindustani.

Currency & Tipping The local currency is the Fiji Dollar FJD ($). ATM machines to withdraw cash are available are most Resorts.
Tipping is not expected in Fiji and is left to the individual to determine whether to make a gratuity.
Duty-Free Allowances 2.25 litres of spirits OR 4.5 litres of beer OR 4.5 litres of wine. 250 grams of cigarettes OR 250 grams of tobacco. Duty free allowances are subject to change so please check.
Sockets & Plugs The electrical current in Fiji is 240 volts AC/50 cycles. Fiji has three pin power outlets identical to Australia and New Zealand. Some hotels and resorts offer universal outlets for 240v or 110v shavers.
Getting Around Getting around the main island is easy taxis, private cars or coach transfers are available. If travelling to one of the offshore island's flights are available via airline Fiji Link airline or jump aboard a sea transfer.
Bula Bus The Sofitel Fiji is located on Denarau Island and the Bula bus is the way to go to get around. It costs $8 Fiji dollars for the day and includes all trips within the one day (hop on, hop off). Tickets can be bought at your resort daily, there are also special rates for children and weekly tickets.
